The Research Foundation for SUNY Plattsburgh is pleased to announce the opening of an Administrative Assistant position to assist with the Alzheimer's Disease Caregiver Support Initiative and the Caregiver Wellness and Respite Center programs. The goal of these initiatives is to expand the safety net for caregivers by recognizing and addressing the need for supports and stress reduction. Position Description The Administrative Assistant works as part of a caregiver support team. Position responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following: -Set up independent contracts with respite providers (Agency/Individual). -Ensure that each provider has the necessary paperwork and process for reimbursement. -Communicate with Regional Care Navigators on new providers in the region and upload required paperwork into Google Drive. -Enter used respite hours into the respite spreadsheet for tracking purposes. -Contact caregivers throughout the region upon receipt of respite provider voucher to provide verification of hours. -Distribute respite approval letters and certificates as needed. -Update respite provider annual paperwork to ensure that information remains current and accurate. -Process invoices including respite and caregiver wellness vouchers. -Work closely with the Project Director to ensure the achievement of grant respite outcomes in accordance with work plan timelines. -Assist with developing and monitoring the respite program annual budget. -Contact Care Navigators to provide notification of approval, number of respite hours approved, and provide an authorization number. -Provide meaningful feedback to inform ongoing refinement of the Respite program and services. -Work closely with other administrative staff to cross train on administrative duties and assist when other staff are out of the office or when deadlines require additional support. Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in business or comparable field of study is preferred with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. The education and experience requirement may be satisfied by an equivalent combination of education and experience; for example an Associate's Degree or certification (required) with a minimum of four years of relevant business experience. Special Qualifications: There must be demonstrated ability to interact with people who are experiencing physical and/or emotional stress, and demonstrated ability to deal tactfully with others. Demonstrated interpersonal, critical thinking and communication skills are a must, as is the ability to understand Microsoft Excel and budgeting and tracking programs. Salary Range: $40,000 to $45,000 with an excellent fringe benefits package to be included.
