JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The School of Education at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a Lecturer in Teacher Education with a focus on elementary/middle level mathematics teaching methods. Candidates must be qualified to teach the Elementary - Middle Level Mathematics I and II courses, observe students during practicum placements in elementary and middle level math and science classrooms, and teach Professional Education courses such as Instructional Design and Assessment. This is a full-time, benefit eligible position with an anticipated start date of August 26, 2024. Salary range of \$40,000 - \$43,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities: Teach multiple courses including Elementary - Middle Level Mathematics I and II along with Math/Science Practicum and Professional Education courses. The typical teaching load is 15 credits per semester. Utilize current best practices in teacher education to support student learning in the classroom and PK-12 classroom placements. Complete course embedded assessments of program student learning outcomes. Effectively interact and collaborate with faculty and staff colleagues within the School of Education, across campus, and in partner PK-12 schools to complete program tasks and goals. Complete relevant trainings related to teaching. What You\'ll Need to Succeed: Master\'s degree or higher in Education, Mathematics Education, or a closely related field. Three or more years teaching experience in grades K through 12. A strong commitment to undergraduate education for pre-service teachers. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with colleagues from the School of Education, across campus, and partner PK-12 schools.
