JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The School of Agriculture at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in Agribusiness for the Fall semester, beginning August 26, 2024. Candidates with relevant backgrounds and interests may have opportunities for additional roles, including assisting with student success through advising, internship placement, and curriculum assessment. Those interested in advancing the dairy industry may also have the opportunity to collaborate with faculty and staff at the Dairy Innovation Hub. Responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching courses in introductory agribusiness principles and agricultural consulting and sales. Ability to engage modern pedagogy to teach undergraduate students through a classroom settings. Ability to effectively interact and collaborate with colleagues to complete department tasks (attend meetings, reply to emails, patriciate in department events, etc.) and goals. What You\'ll Need to Succeed: Master\'s degree in Agribusiness or closely related field Applicants must have evidence of teaching experience or substantial industry experience within agribusiness or related field. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to interact with industry, enthusiasm for professional engagement with students in and out of the classroom. Ability to work with colleagues in a collegial environment. The Pioneer Farm (430-acre farm) is available for teaching, demonstration, and systems-based research.
