We are currently looking for experienced, motivated, and creative individuals to fill a Chemical Tech position within Oxy's Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, Production Operations asset in Platteville, CO.

The Chemical Tech is responsible for all chemical operations from planning, construction, commissioning, monitoring/surveillance and maintenance and repair of all chemical related processes. All processes will adhere to Oxy's HSE policies, procedures and guidelines. The chemical team's primary goal is to provide chemical related solutions to operational needs (corrosion, scale, paraffin, hydrates, emulsion etc.), prevent lost production, minimize down time and maximize Oxy's profitability.

Responsibilities: *Apply all HSE PSPG's (i.e. energy isolation, ground disturbance, SWS etc.) *Work in a safe and environmentally friendly way *Provide input with process improvements, cost savings ideas, optimization and value add projects *Automation surveillance (Cygnet, alarm monitoring, adjust setpoints, identify issues etc.) *Provide chemical related support for construction, work over rigs, swab rigs, slick line, CNG, Ops (chemical skid moves, connecting/disconnecting injection lines) *Conduct quarterly 360 inspections of chemical skids with related documentation *Perform basic spill response/cleanup for small related LOPC's *Basic project management skills associated with new facilities, gas lift and special projects (chemical related) *Basic SAP responsibilities (Notification, PO request, PR creation, closing out PO) *Ensure chemical skids are operationally sound -Maintenance and repair -Detechtion tasks closeouts -Work with chemical vendor to identify issues -Variance improvement *Work hand in hand with chemical specialist, chemical team members, Ops and chemical vendors for day-to-day business needs -Optimization -Product selection -Product compatibility -Troubleshooting techniques -Prioritization *On call schedule including occasional callouts, weekend coverage and occasional travel to PRB to support their business needs

Required Qualifications: -High school diploma, GED or equivalent -3+ years oil and gas industry experience -Responsible attitude for personal safety and the safety of co-workers, contractors & the public *Demonstrated self-starter with the drive and ability to set and achieve annual goals and learn quickly, as well as the initiative to challenge the status quo *Team-oriented; excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with team members and other groups, such as analysts, technicians, and engineers *Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision *Excellent time management skills, multi-tasking and prioritization abilities -Demonstrated k owledge of oil and gas production operations, including the ability to effectively diagnose, communicate, and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions -Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to keep neat and accurate records -Excellent analytical and problem solving capabilities, including the ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement cost-effective solutions -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Extensive technical skills related to math and analytical processes -Demonstrated mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills -Demonstrated knowledge of business fundamentals -Good computer skills; proficient in MS Office software suite -Valid Driver's License with an excellent driving record
