JPMorgan Chase Transformation & Strategy- Pricing Manager- Payments- Vice President in Plano, Texas

As a Vice President in Payments Pricing, you will be responsible for coordinating the budgeting and forecasting process, help drive data and pricing analysis, as well as management reports and presentations.

As a Vice President in Payments Pricing your primary responsibilities will be related to analysis used to drive strategic pricing decisions and the development of tools used to execute or augment pricing activity in the business. With broad scope covering statistical analysis and recommendation-based problem solving, as well as design, development, and maintenance of pricing tools used by our sales teams. Payments Pricing operates in close cooperation with firmwide groups in each line of business to prepare management reports and presentations.

This is a dynamic role in a project-based environment. Specific product scope will include J.P. Morgan Treasury Services, Merchant Services, and Commercial Card. Specifically, for the Merchant Services business, the Manager will be primarily tasked with: 1) development and enhancement of pricing benchmarks using advanced statistical methods; 2) assessment of current and front-book pricing with recommendations for back-book price adjustments and suggested front-book pricing approval thresholds; 3) development and recommendations for new or modified pricing constructs going to market.

Job responsibilities:

  • Lead broad scope statistical analysis and recommendation-based problem solving, as well as design, development, test and maintain pricing tools used by our Sales teams

  • Leverage direct/indirect resources for managing pricing initiatives, such as recurring reprices, client maintenance, data modeling, document and batch file management, client communications, and any ad-hoc requests

  • Provide decision and strategic guidance on budgeting, forecasting, business performance, and revenue growth through close coordination with internal partners and stakeholders including Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Billing teams to ensure the timely, accurate and effective delivery of recurring and ad-hoc initiatives

  • Use and query data from disparate sources and work cross functionally with sales, relationship management, finance and pricing leadership to develop pricing strategies to improve revenue for the J.P. Morgan Payments business

  • Ensure effective management of Merchant Services pricing for existing and prospective clients with recommendations for back-book price adjustments and suggested front-book pricing approval thresholds

  • Oversee the governance, risk, controls and compliance, and management of Merchant Services profitability

  • Develop visualization of pricing analytic insights for executive stakeholder consumption

  • Support the broader Payments Pricing team on an ad-hoc basis, e.g., implementing Merchant Services Pricing Calculator updates

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills, the ability to work successfully across teams, and have experience in big data environments.

  • Strong SQL background in querying large datasets and Microsoft skills, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Detail oriented, handling multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.

  • Team oriented, inquisitive, critical thinker who anticipates questions from internal clients and management

  • Self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment

  • Desire to learn quickly, be flexible and think strategically.

  • Ability to navigate multiple data sets and synthesize into cohesive presentation and recommendations

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • BA/BS, preferably in Business, Finance or Economics

  • Advanced Excel

  • Payments experience

  • Experience in Alteryx, QlikView, Essbase, Visual Basic, Xceptor, Robotics, Tableau, VB Macros and/or BI tools.
