Texas Health Resources Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool (Full Time/Nights) in Plano, Texas

Registered Nurse (RN II) – Central Nursing Pool

Fast-paced, high volume Float Pool Department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?

Work location: Texas Health Plano, 6200 West Parker Road

Work hours: Full Time, 36 hours per week; Variable Nights; 6:45 pm – 7:15 am; 3 shifts per week including weekend and holiday’s

Central Nursing Pool Department Highlights:

Here’s What You Need

  • Nursing Diploma required or

  • Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or

  • BSN preferred

  • One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program

  • Two years of experience as a clinical nurse highly preferred.

  • Telemetry/MedSurg experience strongly preferred

  • RN must practice within the regulations of the Texas Nurse Practice Act, serve as a role model, intra/interdisciplinary collaborator, and coordinator for quality patient care

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

  • Assesses the patient

  • Plans the care of the patient

  • Intervenes as appropriate

  • Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

  • Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care

  • Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

  • Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers
