Overview

The Intuit ProTax Group is looking for a Product Designer who has passion for producing customer driven designs for complex software. Our designers are involved at every step of a project—from gathering insights, brainstorming, prototyping, and experimentation to launching pixel-perfect designs. This role will work closely with innovation teams to turn high-level concepts into tangible experience within our product.

What you'll bring

• 3+ years of experience in interaction design, product design, visual design, service design, or related field

• Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Human-Computer Interaction Design, or other relevant field; Master’s preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered

• Knowledge of design principles, methods, layout and composition

• Deep empathy for customer problems and understanding of business needs and goals

• Great attention to detail, organizational and documentation skills

• Curiosity and commitment to testing new ideas and innovating to drive business results

• Effective communicator, presenter, and negotiator

• Expert at conveying ideas and concepts through storyboarding, wireframing, and prototyping

• Mastery of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Mural/Murio, etc

• Experience working with Jira is a plus

• A dazzling online portfolio demonstrating your strong craft and collaborative process

How you will lead

• Develops professional expertise while learning the key aspects of the job

• Applies company processes to resolve a variety of routine issues

• Works on problems with limited to moderate scope (feature level or small projects)

• Normally receives general instructions and mentoring on routine work and detailed instructions for new assignments

• For projects of low to moderate complexity Assists in: Discover phase

• Input for XD research

• Competitive audits

• External trends analysis Define phase

• Interaction design goals and principles; input to delight goals

• Interaction design process, schedule, milestones

• Personas, user scenarios/stories, storyboards Delivers: Design phase

• Multiple concepts and iterations around user interaction models and workflows

• Wireframes, screen flows, prototypes

• Presentations for communicating any of the above Deliver phase

• UI Specs

• Assurance that delivery matches specs (e.g. identifying deviations, owning Interaction design bugs)

• Appropriate trade-off recommendations
