Your Role at Raising Cane’s:

The Design Manager is responsible for leading the overall architectural design process for multiple projects while overseeing external consultants and for driving the development of site layouts, floor plans, exterior designs and provide support to the field teams throughout construction. This role is part of a team of internal and external professionals who manage all architecture, engineering, and interior design standards of each project through all phases of development. This role will be required to develop sketches to communicate design intent effectively.

Your Impact and Responsibilities:

• The primary architectural point of contact for the project from initial site sketch through CD’s and opening.

• Develop designs in partnership with real estate, property development and construction teams.

• Provide creative direction to architects and civil engineers where custom and unique site conditions are required.

• Demonstrate unique design solutions to problems in space planning, construction details, material selection and branded storefronts.

• Manage the outsourced architects, consultants, and vendors responsible for producing construction documents for restaurant development for new locations.

• Ensure that the construction documents are consistent with company’s design objectives and architectural and quality standards while communicating and executing the Company's brand image.

• Document lessons learned, and best practices from prior projects for all future projects.

Requirements for Success:

• 3+ years of experience in Architectural Project Management in an architectural firm or a restaurant/ retail organization.

• 3+ years of experience managing and working with construction plans and specifications for retail/restaurant projects and working with architectural/site plan design, including cost and quality control, material/equipment installation, bidding practices, material and labor costs.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD. InDesign, SketchUp and Photoshop a plus

• Microsoft Proficient: Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities that may be constantly changing

• Results-oriented and flexible with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and collaboratively

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, civil engineering, construction management or related
