Description

We are seeking a Legal Administrator based in Plano, Texas. The role involves providing administrative leadership across multiple locations, implementing operational improvements, and managing workflow to ensure equitable assignment of work.

Responsibilities:

• Lead law firm office operations ensuring smooth functioning of daily operations.

• Actively involved in workforce planning, recruitment, and selection of new hires.

• Conduct training and orientation for new hires to align them with firm policies.

• Manage and resolve employee relations, including coaching and disciplining staff and attorneys as needed.

• Collaborate with supervising attorneys to cultivate an effective and productive team and work environment.

• Continuously seek and implement improvements to the overall operations of the office.

• Manage workflow within the office to ensure work is fairly and equitably assigned.

• Work with office management regarding facilities and serve as liaison with IT for onsite issues and setup.

• Utilize Management System, Microsoft Excel, and Legal software for administrative tasks.

• Employ Case Management Software and LexisNexis for handling legal cases.

• Oversee administrative office functions and manage human resources software for employee management.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role as a Legal Firm Administrator

• Bachelor's Degree is required

• You will serve as liaison with IT for onsite issues and set up

• Law Firm management experience with an emphasis on daily office operations, staff administration and employee relations

• Someone with experience up the legal ladder would be ideal

• Experience with coaching and disciplining staff and attorneys

• Knowledge of Administrative Law

• Experience with Benefit Functions

• Experience with Billing Functions

• Experience with recruiting and selection of new hires, training and orientation

• Proficiency in Human resources software
