We have an immediate need for a Business Intelligence Developer to work with a leading real estate builder located in Plano, TX.

Position Title: Sr. BI Developer

Employment: Contract-to-Hire

Location: Hybrid Schedule

Target Hourly Rate: $75/Hr W2

The BI Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions leveraging expertise in Azure cloud-centric technologies. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, data analysts, and other developers to understand requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions. This role will leverage Microsoft BI tools and technologies to deliver accurate and insightful data visualizations, reports, and dashboards.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Gather and analyze business requirements to understand data and reporting needs.

  • Design and develop interactive reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power Bl or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

  • Design and develop end-to-end business intelligence solutions using Azure cloud-centric technologies, such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Analysis Services.

  • Monitor the performance and availability of Bl solutions, identify bottlenecks and areas for optimization, and implement performance-tuning strategies.

  • Proactively troubleshoot issues, investigate data discrepancies, and ensure the reliability and scalability of the Bl infrastructure.

  • Design and develop data models, data warehouses, and ETL processes using Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).

  • Create and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.

  • Develop and maintain multidimensional and tabular data models using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and Bl Premium tabular models.

  • Use Microsoft Power Bl to create visually appealing and interactive dashboards and reports that present data insights in a user-friendly manner.

  • Implement data visualizations, filters, and drill-down capabilities to enable users to explore data.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Bl Developer or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft Bl technologies.

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and either Power Bl or SSRS.

  • Proficient in SQL querying and performance optimization techniques.

  • Familiarity with data modeling concepts and techniques.

  • Experience in developing data visualizations and reports for business users.

  • Understanding of data warehousing principles and ETL processes.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.

Tech Breakdown

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, and either Power Bl or SSRS.

  • Familiarity with advanced analytics techniques, such as predictive modeling or machine learning using technologies such as Microsoft Azure Machine Learning or Python.

  • Microsoft Power Bl or SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

  • Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Analysis Services.
