Minimum of a BA in related field or RBT Availability to commit to a full time position in a 12 month program Positive work and academic references Energetic, creative, intuitive and enthusiastic approaches to teaching. Arrive to work on time each day and stay until scheduled dismissal time. Teach the learners in the class on a daily basis. Analyze skill acquisition data on Catalyst when designated and complete data analysis sheets daily. Graph data as indicated for skill acquisition programs and behavior intervention programs. Maintain a neat and organized teaching environment, including the classroom, instructional/leisure materials, token boards, and storage areas. Write to the parent(s) regarding learner performance for the day in the Daily Communication Book. Respond to feedback following the professional feedback model from all colleagues and administrators. Problem-solve skill acquisition programs that do not show changes in the desired direction. Update learners daily schedules and fade any prompts as necessary. Manage punctual arrival and dismissal of assigned learners. Respond to and report emergencies as per ELIJA policies and procedures. Use ELIJA incident reports and submit incident reports within 24 hours of the incident. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Clinical Supervisor or Director.

Learner Books/Programming/Schedules

Maintain neat and organized learners current, maintenance, and cumulative books Update Current Step and Rate of Performance Sheets (CSRP) and target lists for programs that you teach. Obtain appropriate signatures from Clinical Supervisors.
Update learners program schedules to reflect changes in programming/staffing in a timely manner. Modify the learners programming based upon clinic recommendations in a timely manner (within 3 days of post-clinic). Annually update Instructor, parent(s), Clinical Supervisor, and Director signatures on skill acquisition and behavior intervention plan approval sheets. All behavior intervention plans MUST be signed by both parents (if applicable). Obtain Instructors, parent(s), Clinical Supervisor, Directors signatures on skill acquisition and behavior intervention plan approval sheets PRIOR to program implementation. All behavior intervention plan paperwork MUST be signed by both parents or the designated lead parent. Informally review learner books daily to assess change in the desired direction on ALL teaching programs and to assure that all programs are updated by instructors.
Assist in the development and writing of new skill acquisition programs and behavior intervention plans. Correct and/or change the learners current books based upon the written feedback from a Current Book Review conducted by the Clinical Supervisor or Director. Request and monitor the frequency of IOA on all active skill acquisition and behavior reduction treatment programs (IOA must be obtained at least once per marking period on ALL active programs). Design dyad and group instruction activities under the support and guidance of the Lead Instructor. Update maintenance books weekly for completed programs/targets and assess that skills are still maintained.

Reports & Assessments

Write progress reports for the learners each trimester. Complete Alternate Assessments (Portfolios) when required as assigned. Implement or assist with developmental assessments (e.g., ABLLS, VB-MAPP) when required as assigned.

Meetings

Attend clinics with the parent(s) and the Director and/or Clinical Supervisor. Attend parent meetings (when specified). Attend/Participate in weekly staff/classroom meetings. Attend staff in-service trainings (December, March, August). Attend family consultation meetings, as assigned. Conduct/attend home visits and assist parents in designing skill acquisition and behavior reduction procedures under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor or Director.
