Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in PLAINVIEW, New York. This role provides a contract to hire employment opportunity. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with handling accounts payable duties and assisting with Excel spreadsheets and filing.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate processing of accounts payable transactions

• Handle the 3-way matching process involving purchase orders and packing slips

• Assist in maintaining and updating Excel spreadsheets for tracking and reporting purposes

• Support filing and record-keeping tasks

• Monitor and update customer accounts as needed

• Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable

• Utilize Sage 100 for various accounting tasks

Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Payable (AP) roles

• Proficiency in using Sage 100 software

• Demonstrated ability to perform 3 Way Matching

• Strong numerical and analytical skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Knowledge of general accounting principles and procedures

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred
