Description

We are in search of a Controller to join our team in PLAINFIELD, Connecticut. The Controller will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial planning, maintaining GAAP compliance, managing external business relationships, and leading internal and external financial audits. This role also involves overseeing cost management and payroll management, among other duties.

Responsibilities:

Physical inventory

Full month end close

• Prepare annual financial plans and multi-year forecasts

• Analyze monthly financial statements, cash flow projections of revenue/expenses, and profit and loss reports

• Ensure GAAP compliance and manage regulatory reporting

• Oversee the company’s participation in all insurance programs

• Lead internal and external financial audit requests

• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax accountants, consultants, and other key relationships

• Oversee cost management and payroll management

• Oversee Human Resources management.

Requirements

Minimum requirements includes 5+ years of manufacturing experience, soup to nuts month end knowledge and strong Excel skills.

• Strong understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Knowledge and experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Ability to handle Month End Close tasks efficiently

• Understanding and application of GAAP Accounting principles

• Proven ability in Forecasting

• Experience in conducting Annual Physical Inventory
