Assistive Technology Assistant Job Type: Full-timeJob Location: Pittsfield, MA Schedule: 37.5 hr/wk \$1,500 Sign-on Bonus Join the growing Assistive Technology (AT) team at the AT Regional Center (ATRC) of UCP helping individuals with disabilities and other service needs live life without limits! You will perform ATRC duties including but not limited to device setup and repair, device demonstrations, AT solutions set up, AT solution training, attend outreach events, and research of upcoming technologies, among other technology related on site duties. This role reports to the Director of the ATRC and ATTech Support. ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collaborate with Assistive Technology Specialist (ATS) to setup and/or tailor AT solutions - Maintain and repair ATRC devices - Enter daily case notes for billing - Pick up and/or drop off AT/DME devices as needed. - Attend outreach events including driving to location, set up table, conduct demonstrations on AT devices, and breakdown table setup. - Research on new AT vendors and products - Manage UCP IT ticketing system - Function as a member of the UCP interdisciplinary team - Attend regular weekly staff meetings and other meetings required by the Director of ATRC and Technical Support. - Maintain confidentiality of all information relative to the individuals with disability we serve. - Apply agency administrative policy and procedures including safety, health, emergency, and individual rights. - Assist with any UCP activities as requested. ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT QUALIFICATIONS: - High School Diploma with Academy of Information Technology (AOIT) / Information Technology certificate or other related education - Knowledgeable of different AT devices and equipment used by people with disabilities strongly preferred - Orient and train individuals with disabilities and/or their support network in the use of AT solutions - Ability to move and/or carry small to mid-size equipment (portable ramps, walkers, wheelchairs, etc.) - Knowledge in IT ticketing systems - Ability to attend ATRC outreach events, demonstrations, trainings, technical assistance - Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of members and ATRC outreach events - Knowledge of community social services, education and health service agencies - Valid driver\'s license, availability of private vehicle, up-to-date car insurance - Knowledgeable of Apple Products/Systems - Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Office 365 and word processing skills - Comfortable with remote application such as Zoom , Teams or TeamViewer - Satisfactory CORI, SORI, DPPC and National Fingerprint Background Check ASSISTIVE TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT BENEFITS INCLUDE: - Sign on bonus program - Professional development - Health insurance 1st of the month after hire date - Agency paid life and disability insurance - Vacation/Sick/Personal/Holiday program - 403(b) retirement program - Mileage reimbursement - Referral Program About Us: UCP of Western MA is guided by a set of core principles - Respect, Integrity, Communication, and Empathy.
