Company Overview: At Odle Management, a proud subsidiary of Eckerd Connects, we are dedicated to transforming the lives of socioeconomically disadvantaged youth through Job Corps, a no-cost education and vocational training program funded by the U.S. Department of Labor. We empower young people aged 16-24 by teaching them vital skills needed for employment and independence, fostering their placement in meaningful jobs or further education.

Position Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Program Coordinator to lead our School to Career and Work-Based Learning Programs. This position plays a crucial role in planning and coordinating activities that bridge academic achievements with real-world professional experiences, directly contributing to the workforce readiness of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with local employers, schools, and community organizations to establish beneficial work-based learning sites.
  • Organize and coordinate events that bring together key stakeholders to ensure the success of the program.
  • Promote and enhance the public image of the center and Job Corps within the community and state.
  • Manage logistics for student transportation to and from work sites and monitor their progress.
  • Serve as a substitute teacher to facilitate vocational instructors' visits to work sites.
  • Prepare and submit all required documentation and reports related to the program.
  • Ensure a safe, respectful, and harassment-free environment for all staff and students.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum of two years in marketing, sales, or counseling-related fields.
  • Experience in supervisory roles is a plus.
  • Valid State driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to effectively connect with the local community and employer base.

Working Conditions:

  • Predominantly indoor work with occasional outdoor activities.
  • Position requires the ability to handle moderate noise levels and adapt to changing environmental conditions.
