We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice president, Network Support to join our Network Production Services Organization. This role is in Pittsburgh/Lake Mary (2-3 days in office required). Candidate must reside within a commutable distance to this work location, as we are unable to accommodate 100% virtual work arrangements. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Design, implement, and manage large-scale enterprise network environments. Responsible for the performance, reliability, and security of the enterprise's network, including data centers, wireless networks, DNS, extranet services, among others. Provide accurate and detailed documentation to assist other teams such as with new designs, network configurations standards, processes and troubleshooting procedures. Participate and collaborate with other technical teams to help develop network architectures that support business and client's needs. Provide knowledge transfer to operational and deployment teams working to support the network infrastructure. Conduct regular system and security audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Staying current with the latest networking technologies to ensure the enterprise network infrastructure is optimized and up to date. Provide support for network related issues during and outside of regular working hours as needed. Ensure the network infrastructure is always resilient and redundant to allow for the delivery of end-to-end services for internal and external users in case of outages. To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred. 8-10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus. Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, etc.) DNS, VPNs, firewall configurations Proficient in configuring and managing network infrastructures such as DC cores, extranets, DMZs Strong understanding of networking across the OSI model (L1 to L7 layers) Hands-on experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e,g,, Solarwinds, Wireshark, Splunk, Forward Networks, etc.) Familiarity with network security best practices including firewall configurations. Industry certifications in multiple area such as Cisco, Palo Alto, F5, etc. are preferable Strong understanding of networking across the OSI model (L1 to L7 layers) including Layer 2 and Layer 3 technologies, SDWAN, MPLS, and network automation The candidate must have a clear understanding of network design principles that are used in Enterprise infrastructures for the design, implementation, maintenance, support, and management of large-scale networks to make sure the environment is efficient, optimal, secured, and always available to provide services for our internal and external customers, vendors, partners and other entities directly connected to BNY. Strong technical expertise in networking protocols, hardware, and software, along with the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues providing findings and guidance to resolutions. Excellent verbal and written skills and will work very closely with cross-functional team to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Candidate should be able to support and work with different technologies/processes in the areas of routing/switching, load balancing, firewall infrastructures, DMZs, IP Address Management, wired and wireless networks, Network Management.
