University of Pittsburgh Tenure-Stream Assistant Professor - Neuroscience in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

 

Applications are invited for one tenure-stream faculty position at the assistant professor rank with a targeted start date of Fall 2025. This recruitment seeks an individual to develop an outstanding research program in cellular and molecular aspects of neuroscience that leverages the strengths of ongoing research within the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh (http://www.neuroscience.pitt.edu/) and the extensive, impactful, and growing neuroscience community in Pittsburgh. Our integrative research environment is exemplified by the Center for Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh (CNUP; https://www.cnup.pitt.edu/about), which bridges the University of Pittsburgh, the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and Carnegie Mellon University. Successful candidates will be expected to establish and manage an independent research program, participate in teaching neuroscience to undergraduate and graduate students, and contribute to the interactive and collegial local neuroscience community.

Required qualifications are a doctoral degree, postdoctoral training in neuroscience or a related field, and a record of research excellence. Preferred qualifications include a sincere interest in contributing to the educational mission of the department and a desire to be part of an interactive community.
