As a Technology Engineer within PNC's Enterprise Technology & Security organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Dallas, Birmingham and Phoenix

As part of the ET&S Business Partner team, the Technology Engineer will be responsible for assisting Line of Business Technology teams in project initiatives as well as providing capacity management and infrastructure performance analysis on existing technology implementations.

Candidates should have experience in the following areas:

• Technology expertise in at least two of the following: Linux/Windows Administration, Storage Area Networks, Database and Analytics Platforms, and Container platforms.

• Ability to diagnose, recommend and implement solutions to address application and infrastructure performance.

• Experience in dealing with multiple projects and cross functional teams managing multiple assignments with various deadlines/due dates.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present at multiple levels of an organization

Experience in the following technologies is preferred:

• Experience in utilizing Infrastructure and Application Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, IBM Turbonomic, and vROps

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, and OpenShift container platforms

• Familiar with Data Security Concepts (Data Encryption, Tokenization, Synthetics, Data Masking)

• Automation/programming experience in Ansible, SQL, Python, PowerShell/Linux Scripting

Job Description

• Leverages technical knowledge and industry experience to design, build and maintain technology solutions. Assists with selecting appropriate platforms, integrates and configures solutions.

• Develops software components and hardware for new and emerging technology projects; aligns these with business strategies and objectives.

• May provide consultation on common issues and best practices for junior staff.

• Provides a systematic analysis on client requirements within the traceability framework and resolves any functional problems encountered.

• Ensures quality of project deliverables while maintaining compliance with relevant standards and processes.
