RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

  • Master's in Human Services or related discipline and 2 years (1 as a supervisor) OR Bachelor's in Human Services or related discipline and 4 years (1 as a supervisor) of relevant experience in area of clinical or related direct service expertise.

  • Must obtain and maintain DPW Medication Train the Trainer certification

  • Valid Driver’s license

  • Ability to drive an organizational vehicle

  • Act 33/34/73 clearances

  • Pre-employment drug screen

Must obtain Personal Care Home Administrator certification within first 6 months of employment.

SCHEDULE

Sunday – Wednesday 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM - 4 DAY WORK WEEK!

Will need to flex hours to meet with staff from all shifts monthly at a minimum.

  • Our Supervisors are essential in contributing to the Behavioral Health Residential department’s ability to do its best work. The ideal candidate has to wear many hats daily: communications expert, conflict resolutions master, and organizational guru. You’ll also be responsible for staffing/staff training, internal and external relationship building, and ongoing operations.

  • The Supervisor will be one of two supervisors working with the 38 colleagues and 56 adult residents with Intellectual Disabilities/Serious Mental Illness at this Personal Care Home which is located in a neighborhood setting in Wilkinsburg, PA., conveniently located on a bus line.

  • This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people, especially in their own home.

  • We’re looking for people who have experience developing and mentoring a team, and who believe in a strengths-based approach, and use positive practices to help guide their everyday activities.

  • While required daily tasks to ensure the health and well-being of the residents and site are of utmost importance, this position offers many opportunities to engage with the residents both on site and out in the community.

  • Along with daily interactions and conversations, staff are highly encouraged to help support the residents’ well-being through socialization, developing and encouraging participation of both and on and off-site activities, shopping, trips, and other activities that support their social and personal well-being.
