Job Description
We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team for an upcoming sprint focused on the Positive Train Control (PTC) product. This role involves working on embedded systems using C programming language.
Responsibilities
Develop and maintain software for embedded systems using C programming.
Participate in requirements-based development.
Collaborate with tenured staff and work effectively within a team environment.
Utilize software configuration management systems.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of networked communications such as Ethernet, serial, MVB, or other.
Essential Skills
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
1-5 years of experience in programming C embedded systems
Fluent communication and writing skills
Experience with requirements-based development
Familiarity with software configuration management systems
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with LINUX programming in Windows and/or embedded systems
Experience with Python programming
Experience in the rail industry
Experience working with networked communications (Ethernet, serial, MVB, or other)
Work Environment
This position follows a hybrid work schedule with 2 days on-site. The role involves working with advanced embedded systems technology within a collaborative team environment.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
