Research Program Coordinator

The Department of Communication Science & Disorders (CSD) in the School of Health and Rehabilitation Science (SHRS) at the University of Pittsburgh is seeking a qualified Project Coordinator to manage day-to-day activities for the Brain Systems for Language Research Lab. The research lab investigates various aspects of communication (speech perception and production) using multiple technologies (EEG, MRI). The lab is seeking to fill this position with an experienced project coordinator who will support the Principal Investigator and lab personnel in completing federal and nonfederal grant funded projects. Confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail are expected for the position. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to be flexible with work assignments and multi-tasking is essential. The position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to manage workflow under tight deadlines. The incumbent should be able to function independently in all of these tasks and in other tasks as assigned by the PI and lab members. The position requires experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Word and Excel. Experience with human study coordination, subject recruitment & consenting, IRB procedures, data collection, clinical database management, and behavioral/neuroimaging data analytic abilities is desirable. Strong organizational skills, outstanding verbal and written communications skills, and strong sense of responsibility and being able to present comprehensive data summaries is required. The incumbent will be required to work in person. Preferred experience with pediatrics and the incumbent must be able to work weekends.

Job Summary

Coordinates protocol-related research procedures, activities, outreach, and education. Manages a study or assists with larger studies. Collects and analyzes data and complies with all policies and regulations.
