Regional Category Manager- Americas - JR2412851

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As Regional Category Manager - Americas , you will managing the regional sourcing for a raw material category in Americas. You will be part of a global sourcing team, functionally lead by a Global Category Manager. As a key member of the Global Procurement team, your negotiation skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams and matrix organizations are the keys to the success in this position. Annual purchases managed by this position typically range from $50MM to $150MM depending on the portfolio. You will report to the Americas Procurement Team Lead at the Pittsburgh, PA office.

Responsibilities: * Execute the sourcing strategy for your category that aligns with business needs, mitigates identified risks, and maximize value opportunities for PPG in the Americas. * Negotiate with suppliers at regional level to secure raw materials needed with advantageous terms for PPG. * Establish and manage relationships with key suppliers and business stakeholders in Americas Region. * Align and collaborate with Global and Regional counterparts for category to deliver savings and working capital targets to bring value to PPG's bottom line.

Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in chemistry/chemical engineering * 5+ years in chemical industry * Strategic vision * Data analysis and critical thinking skills * Change Management
