Quality Assurance Analyst

As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you play a crucial role in ensuring that our products, services, or systems meet established quality standards, including reliability, usability, and performance. Your responsibilities include reviewing requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback, and creating detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. You must have proven experience in software quality assurance and working with cross-functional teams and the ability to collaborate with developers and team leaders.

Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and Implement QA Processes: Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures. Collaborate with the development team to understand product requirements and functionalities. 2. Testing and Inspection: Design, develop, and execute manual and automated tests. Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.

  1. Documentation: Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases. Document and track software defects and inconsistencies. Prepare and present reports and metrics to management. 4. Problem Identification and Resolution: Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs. Perform root cause analysis of identified defects. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle. 5. Compliance and Standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Stay up to date with new testing tools and test strategies

Job Summary

Analyzes advanced business needs and implements and tests solutions. Determines testing specifications, conducts quality improvement testing, and documents procedures and recommendations. Assists more senior quality assurance analysts with portions of complex projects.

Essential Functions

Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and cases. Strong knowledge and proven experience implementing software testing in an agile development environment. Strong knowledge and proven experience with bug reporting tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. Solid knowledge of SQL and scripting. Desired Skills Knowledge and hands-on experience with automated testing tools Experience with performance and security testing.

Physical Effort

Light, Little physical effort. Duties are primarily Sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
