Purchasing Specialist

 

The Hillman Cancer Center (HCC) provides exceptional patient care as a world leader in understanding, preventing, and treating cancer through the integration of scientific discovery, clinical excellence, and community partnerships, while training the next generation of cancer experts. The Purchasing Specialist position is within the Fiscal Team of HCC. This is a hybrid position, working 2 days a week onsite, and as needed for meetings.

Job Summary

Processes all supply purchasing requests, disbursements, and travel and business reimbursement requests. Reviews materials for accuracy and compliance and prepares bid specifications and correspondence. Coordinates with internal and external stakeholders and recommends quantity and quality of orders. Maintains accurate inventories, records, lists, and database. Assists with administrative functions.

Essential Functions * Gathering required documents for agreements * Coordinating with Financial Account Coordinators to verify funding

  • Entering service agreement details in Panther Express

  • Ensuring the creation of purchase order

  • Providing completed information to the Financial Account Coordinator

Physical Effort

Little physical effort required. Duties are primarily sedentary. May be required to move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
