Robert Half Property Assistant in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Description

Our client in the North Side of Pittsburgh is looking for an Assistant Property Manager. The person would assist in all aspects of the management office as it relates to HUD and the low-income tax credit housing process. This opportunity is contract to hire.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain occupancy and program compliance by conducting interviews and processing annual/interim recertification 50059s and TICs in compliance with company guidelines, local, state, and federal regulations. The Assistant Property Manager position takes the lead role on recertifications with support from the Occupancy Specialist.

• Provide guidance and direction to the Occupancy Specialist also tasked with completing resident certifications.

• Interact with current and prospective residents to achieve maximum occupancy.

• Ensure maximum compliance percentage and work with supervisor to resolve any issues.

• Review, prioritize, and distribute resident service requests.

• Conduct various administrative and office support tasks.

• Perform all duties while generating interest and enthusiasm about the property by creating an exceptional customer experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of LIHTC regulations and project-based Section 8 residential properties

• Well-developed administrative skills

• Strong written and verbal skills

• Organized and team oriented

• Ability to work well independently and prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment Qualifications:

• Experience and knowledge of LIHTC regulations

• Experience and knowledge of HUD Section 8

• Ability to maintain accuracy and compliance through high volume of recertifications

• Superb attention to detail

• Must have a driver’s license

Requirements • Proficient in using Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites

• Proficient in using Microsoft Outlook

• Understanding of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to handle Correspondence effectively

• Experience in Documentation processes

• Knowledge of Insurance procedures and policies

• Prior experience in a Property Administrator role or similar within the Construction/Contractor industry

• Strong organizational and administrative skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills

• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.
