Post Doctoral Position in Quantum Information Physics & Astronomy - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (25001162)
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in quantum information experiments with cold atoms and superconducting circuits in the research group of Yue (Joyce) Jiang (website: https://sites.google.com/pitt.edu/jiang-group). Candidates are expected to have cold atoms or superconducting circuits-related experience.
Position Details: The position involves experimental research in cold atoms and superconducting circuits. Benefits include health/dental/vision coverage as well as optional access to other university benefits. The start date is negotiable but preferably no later than August 1, 2025.
Required:
- Ph.D. in physics/ECE in one of the following fields: atomic, molecular, and optical physics, superconducting circuits, or related background.
Preferred:
- Experience with quantum optics in cold atom systems (Rydberg atoms is preferred)
- Experience with superconducting circuit design, simulation, and device fabrication
- Experience in programming and numerical simulation
