Post Doctoral Associate Med-Radiology - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (24006471)

The laboratory of Dr. Tae Kim, Department of Radiology, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment. Our laboratory is dedicated to advancing the field of neuroimaging in the areas of vascular contributions to cognitive impairment by developing innovative approaches that enable us to understand the mechanism by which it works. This project will focus on the long-term effects of cerebrovascular changes and their effects on structural and functional changes in the brain.

Qualifications

The qualified candidate should have a Ph.D. degree in medical physics, bioengineering, or related fields. The candidate is required to have experience in MR imaging processing and strong programming skills. Knowledge of the BOLD mechanisms and ASL would be preferred. The candidate will primarily focus on the analysis of neuroimaging data and the development of MR imaging techniques in cerebrovascular contributions to cognitive impairment.

The University of Pittsburgh MRRC is equipped with three 3T Prisma, 3T MR-PET Biographs, and a 7T human system with all imaging equipment from Siemens Medical Systems. A new 7T Siemens Terra system will also be installed.
