Description
Do you want to pursue an opportunity in payroll but need to gain experience? We might have an opportunity for you! Our client is seeking a Payroll Specialist for a special project. This will take place starting now and could potentially last through April 2025!
The company is located in Pittsburgh and free parking is provided. Training will be conducted onsite. Candidates may be able to work from home up to 2 days per week!
The responsibilities for the Payroll Specialist will include:
Answer questions from employees about their paycheck information. Providing exceptional customer service to the employees in a professional and timely manner is very important!
Research payroll issues with ADP to help resolve payroll questions and concerns
Follow all payroll processes and guidelines while working to keep all information confidential
Review payroll transactions for accuracy; research and resolve any payroll discrepancies
Review timesheets to ensure the correct "in" and "out" times are listed on timesheets and employee hours are processed correctly
Monitor employee overtime hours
Assist with W2 inquiries, password resets, and direct deposit questions

Requirements
Requirements for this Payroll Specialist will include:
• No minimum years of experience required, making this role suitable for those entering the workforce for the first time as well as those with extensive payroll experience HOWEVER a minimum of an Associates Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance or other relevant degree would be a requirement if you do not have prior payroll processing experience.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new payroll systems and tools
• Strong communication skills to interact with employees for payroll related inquiries
• Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information discreetly
• Basic computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Experience working with a Payroll Software is preferred (ADP would be a huge benefit!)
