Arconic Finance Associate in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Arconic is seeking Finance Associates who are highly motivated and energetic to join our Finance Graduate Program. This program is sponsored by our Chief Financial Officer and is an exciting opportunity for entry-level college graduates.

The rotations are designed to provide exposure and support to a large range of finance activities within different plant and corporate environments. Incumbents should be open to relocation both domestically and internationally. The rotation is a 24-month program divided into three eight-month assignments.

Major Activities/Key Challenges:

  • Financial forecasting for 1stQuarter

  • Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Closing

  • Cost Accounting and Production Planning

  • Financial Analysis and Reporting within Arconic Resource and Business Units

  • Conducting and monitoring of Audit Self-Assessment Processes

  • Completion of projects in the following areas:

o Financial Shared Services

o Financial Planning & Analysis

o Audit

o Treasury

o Business Controllership

Professional Development

Each participant will have a specific development plan created with input from the assignment managers, mentor and Program Owner. The items below are included in the developmental resources available to participants.

  • The HR Direct People Experience Portal Site – This is an excellent place to begin planning individual employee development. There are many tools from Individual Development Plans to Performance Management to specific development opportunities.

  • Mentoring – Every participant in the program will be assigned a mentor prior to their first day. The mentor will be a senior manager from Corporate Finance or BU Finance who will engage with the participant regularly to coach and guide the employee on their current rotational assignment and provide counsel on career planning.

  • Finance Certification Program – Arconic educational program for Finance employees to build their competencies


Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of 3.0 GPA, with a major GPA of 3.2 or better

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, International Business, Finance, IT, or Accounting from an accredited institution

  • Completion of Arconic Finance internship

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products, especially Excel

  • Geographic Mobility - Willingness and commitment to relocate during or after completion of the program

  • Demonstrated outstanding academic achievement and an aptitude for business processes

  • A strong record of team, project and/or people leadership in a work setting and/or extracurricular activities

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment and willingness to take initiative to understand the business

  • An aptitude for problem solving and strong writing, analytical and verbal communications skills

  • Previous successful experience as an active member of a team and as an intern

  • A strong commitment to excellence and to personal and professional growth

  • Resourceful, responsible, tenacious, curious, independent, confident and high energy
