Description

The Department of Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh is inviting applications for a faculty position at the rank of Professor, appointment stream. The assigned faculty will play an integral role in extramurally funded research in space biomedicine and regenerative medicine for the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine (MIRM) and provide computational expertise for programs in trauma, transfusion medicine, and human injury, as well as have strong involvement with medical student, resident, and fellow teaching. Duties and responsibilities will include administrator roles as Director for the Space Biomedicine Program and Associate Director for the McGowan Institute for Regenerative Medicine (MIRM).

Qualifications:

The candidate should have a PhD, preferably in Biophysics, 5-7 years of research experience, and must possess authoritative knowledge and reputation in a recognized field of learning and the achievement of effective teaching skills. The professor should have attained superior stature in their field through scholarship, professional practice, and leadership in professional and learned organizations.
