Emerging Technology Labs Coordinator

 

The Emerging Technology Labs Coordinator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the Emerging Technology Labs within Scaife Hall's anatomy lab, and Falk Library. Also, they are responsible for supervising junior staff and student workers in hardware management, hardware maintenance, and growing interest with stakeholders across the Health Sciences.

 

    • Schedule and lead learning events, trainings, and workshops regarding emerging and immersive technology in the labs.
    • Provide prompt and effective advanced technical support to faculty, staff, and students using technology in the labs.
    • Improve and maintain a constantly growing knowledge base of the equipment and features of the Emerging Technology Labs.

``` - * Maintain hardware by performing routine maintenance on devices in the Labs. - * Maintain accurate records of Lab equipment, including tracking inventory, repairs, replacements, and assisting HSIT Leadership with the procurement process of new technology as necessary. - * Supervise junior staff/student workers that support the emerging technology labs. - * Attend Trainings pertaining to immersive technologies (AR/VR), Simulation technology, and other interactive technology. - * Work with other Clinical Skills and Simulation groups and Stakeholders in the Health Sciences to maintain and improve technologies across the Health Sciences. - * Assist the A/V and Classroom Support Team with responsibilities as needed.

Job Summary

Manages and performs work across multiple areas of the University's Information Technology (IT) platform and infrastructure. Conducts analyses for proposed IT projects. Assists with team members' goal determinations. Provides IT support and coordinates network activities.

Essential Functions

Physical Effort

Requires physical effort. May be required to move objects up to 50lbs.
