Description
We are in search of a Controller for our manufacturing client east of Pittsburgh! (Onsite role)
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the preparation of financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Manage month-end and year-end close processes to provide timely financial data for management review.
Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis to evaluate the company’s performance against financial targets.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements specific to the manufacturing sector, such as tax compliance, inventory valuation, and cost accounting.
Collaborate with auditors during internal and external audits to ensure compliance with financial and operational controls.
Lead and mentor the accounting team, including AP/AR, payroll, and staff accountants, in their daily activities and career development.
Partner with other departments—such as operations, sales, and procurement—to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to improve efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in accounting or finance, with a strong understanding of manufacturing operations.
