We're seeking a future team member for the role of Associate, Credit Risk to join our Asset Recovery team. This role is located in Pittsburgh, PA in a Hybrid work environment. About the team: Support the Asset Recovery Division in credit risk accounting and reporting for BNY and other Legal Entities of the Corporation (collectively, the "Bank") related to deteriorating, criticized and classified assets of the Bank. With moderate guidance, assists with risk management efforts for the assigned credit risk focus, such as Credit Analysis & Approval/Portfolio Management, Operational Credit Risk, or Credit Administration. Helps with the development of documentation and reporting. Helps to improve each team's adherence to the risk management strategy of the assigned credit risk discipline. Interact with portfolio managers, as needed. Operational Credit Risk: With moderate guidance, assists with the completion of numerous credit processing and assessment activities, including credit analysis, underwriting, borrower re-rating and transaction review. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways: Performs due diligence on delinquent loans and follows up with Bankers and Lenders Reviews asset recovery risk classifications for deteriorating credits to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Assignments will contribute to the implementation of new or revised reporting, credit risk and accounting process policies, procedures and reporting templates in order to provide effective financial planning, accounting and reporting of financial information. Responsible for the accuracy, timeliness and completeness of documentation and reporting completed by other Bank professionals and managers. Special projects as directed by Asset Recovery management. Serves as backup Collector of delinquent loans including verbal and written communications with Bank borrowers. Develop experience with internal accounting and credit systems, and external servicer systems. May be involved in analyzing and preparing ad hoc and standard reporting for delinquent loan portfolios. Reviews real estate appraisals for commercial and residential properties as directed. Check appraisal policies and procedures for consistency with the Bank's risk appetite and for compliance with various standard regulatory requirements. Under direct supervision, contributes to analyses of existing and proposed legislation, regulatory announcements and industry practices that are applicable to the assigned credit risk discipline. Reviews work with more senior professionals. Assists with the assessments of the effectiveness of current Credit Analysis & Approval/Portfolio Management, Operational Credit Risk, Country Risk or Credit Administration risk identification and mitigation projects.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following: Bachelor's degree or related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 2-5 years of total work experience preferred. Prior experience/background in credit risk preferred: Credit Analysis, Loan Portfolio Analysis or Management, Loan Collections Formal Credit or Collection training or experience is preferred Ability to assist with the management of diverse lending, operating products, a tendant risk, foreclosure, bankruptcy and/or OREO assets. Experience with borrower rating systems and tracking methodologies, and basic knowledge of fiscal and financial condition indicators. Credit Administration: Experience as an underwriter and familiarity with credit administration systems typically used by financial institutions.
