University of Pittsburgh Adjunct Lecturer in Nuclear Engineering in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Completely conduct all course activities, evaluations, and grading. Enter course materials (lecture, standards excerpts, homework, related supporting materials, and any Discussion Board topics) into the Pitt Canvas site; Issue announcements on Canvas on the availability of course materials and any other pertinent information (e.g., homework or exam hints)

Coordinate, schedule, and maintain contact with 10-12 guest lecturers addressing key codes and standards that include those of:

American Nuclear Society (ANS), American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), and The Nuclear Regulatory Commission (USNRC).

Individual qualifications:

  • MS or higher in Engineering or physical science
  • At least 3 years of experience in designing or supplying reactor system components and/or structures.
  • Documented previous professional or university study of Nuclear System and Component Codes and Standards
