Aircraft Services Team – Bell Piney Flats

Come join the Bell Piney Flats Aircraft Services team and help ensure best in class service to our customers. In this position, you’ll be an integral part of the Aircraft Customization team, performing a variety of avionics tasks and gaining valuable hands-on aviation experience.

What you’ll be doing as an Avionics Tech

  • Under supervision, perform avionics repairs and system installations.

  • Install avionics kits, and test and maintain electrical systems.

  • Fabricate custom sheet metal items as needed.

  • Build wiring harnesses and install wires.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You Bring To this Role

  • Ability to work as a team member to ensure quality and timely completion of aircraft to meet schedule.

  • Strong attention to detail, and ability to work well with others in a team-oriented environment.

  • Ability to progressively grow your expertise by learning and retaining new skills.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instruction.

  • Familiarity with wiring schematics and electrical principles.

  • Ability to read and understand installation instructions, maintenance manuals and blueprints.

  • Ability to purchase own tools required for the jobs assigned, and to work overtime as required.

  • We are looking for dedicated, driven employees with a passion for hands-on aviation work.

What you need to be successful

  • Up to 2 years of experience in avionics or electrical/electronic work related to job duties.

  • Additional experience is a plus and may qualify selected candidate for offer at higher level/pay grade.

  • High school diploma or GED is required.

  • Experience with wiring harness fabrication a plus.

  • Sheetmetal knowledge a plus.

  • Airframe & Powerplant Certificate a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 lbs., and to team lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Ability to perform prolonged kneeling, squatting, sitting, crawling, and climbing stairs, ladders and work stands.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods during the entire duration of shift.

  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for handling small components and tools.

  • Flexibility to bend, stoop, and crouch as required for tasks.

  • Good vision, including the ability to focus on small details and identify defects.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding progress and potential issues.

  • Willingness to follow instructions and ask for clarification when needed.
