Description We are in search of an Accounting Assistant to join our team in Pineville, North Carolina. The role primarily involves providing administrative support to our top leadership and handling basic accounting tasks. This position is a short-term contract but offers the opportunity to become an integral part of an internal support team, assisting the chief of police and helping process paperwork and purchase orders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative support to the top leadership.

• Assist in processing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Handle basic incoming and outgoing invoices.

• Process purchase orders with accuracy.

• Assist in maintaining accurate customer credit records.

• Provide internal support to help the chief of police, including taking meeting notes.

• Utilize accounting software systems and ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning tools effectively.

• Perform basic accounting functions and bank reconciliations.

• Assist in auditing processes and the management of accounts receivables systems.

• Help in maintaining the flow of paperwork and ensuring all documents are processed timely. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with CaseWare software

• Knowledge of Concur expense management system

• Proficiency in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Understanding of various Accounting Functions

• Ability to manage Accounts Payable (AP)

• Ability to manage Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing

• Ability to perform Bank Reconciliations

• Experience in County government accounting

• Familiarity with Accounts receivables systems

• Experience in handling Purchase Orders
