The expected annual salary range for this role is $52499.97 - $76999.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

Golf Pride® Grips, #1 golf grip brand worldwide, aims to further strengthen our product innovation team, and the Global Innovation Center, with the assistance of an experienced Tool & Die Maker/Technician.

This role provides a unique opportunity for the well qualified applicant to join a small and highly versatile team working in Golf Pride’s Rapid Prototyping Lab. The successful candidate must apply proficient technical knowledge in the execution of research and development engineering activities required for all phases of new product and advanced concept design fabrication. The applicant must be capable and will execute with extreme precision the operation of all aspects of tool fabrication and be proficient in liaising with designers to troubleshoot and optimize tool manufacturing. As a part of our team, you will also follow your tool fabrication work from print to the finished part that it creates.

All team members must be champions for Eaton’s safety culture and have a strong team orientation as this function may often require direct interface with both internal and external customers for problem solving, product improvement and cost reduction issues.

What you'll do:

In this role you will:

  • Operate all tool room equipment: milling machines, lathes, grinders, hand tool, hand grinders, welder with precision

  • Proper use of precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, depth micrometers, indicators, pin gages, height gages, etc.

  • Properly read blueprints, tooling prints, part prints with accuracy

  • Read pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical schematics

  • Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing equipment

  • Identify root causes and make recommendations for improved operations

  • Support tool set up and changeover

  • Support additional team roles that may include molding and finishing operations

  • Adapt and support additional, future equipment needs

  • Frequently stand, walk, sit, bend, lift, and reach with hands and arms

  • Read and communicate in English

  • Full knowledge of safe work practices including:

  • Fork truck certified

  • Man-lift certified

  • PPE requirements

  • Fire safety

  • Lockout/Tagout procedure

  • Hot work procedure

Qualifications:

Basic (Required) Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine shop

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with operating a variety of manual machines (lathe, mill, grinders)

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  • Only candidates that currently reside within 50-miles of the Pinehurst, NC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in CNC machining or related field from an accredited institution

  • Experience working with AutoCAD or other 2D or 3D drawing software.

  • Experience with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and associated Blueprint reading.
