Addiction Counseling Intern

Location: Meadow Creek - Pine City, MN

Wage: $15.00/hour for a full internship

Requirements:

  • The student will practice the 12 core functions of Alcohol and Drug Counseling in a hands-on experience at a high-intensity MICD residential treatment program.

  • The student will initially work in tandem with a full-time LADC and eventually complete 12 core function activities including but not limited to: comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, aftercare planning, consultation with other professionals, group and individual therapy, and psychoeducation.

  • The individual in this role must demonstrate skills that benefit a therapeutic relationship including; good listening skills, compassion, trustworthiness, flexibility, and willingness to learn.

  • Completion of the internship is a requirement to become a LADC through BBHT.
