Technology Solutions Consultant

The Technology Solutions Consultant will develop and implement technology solutions for Iron Mountain's Information Governance & Digital Solutions business. Develops and delivers technology solutions through consulting project activities centered around legal research requirements applicable to information governance (specifically record retention and data privacy) housed in Iron Mountain's internal database taxonomies. Technical responsibilities include problem identification, system architecture definition, hardware/software specification, solution design, implementation, testing, system integrations, colleague training, solution deployment, automation solutions for process efficiency, and maintenance. May participate in client proposal presentations to explain technical solution capabilities to address specific client concerns around the legal research content. Required to provide assistance for integration with different systems, specifically with Google applications (maps, drive, sheets, docs). Identifies and proposes additional product/service opportunities using Iron Mountain's internal research content. Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel and Google applications (maps, drive, sheets, docs). Experience with technology solution implementations in metadata systems and taxonomy databases is required. Experience with Google applications is preferred. Experience with information governance, records management, or legal research is a plus. Performance is measured by personal goal progress around implementations, maintenance of technical solutions, and agreed-upon deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Design: Develop comprehensive technology solutions that address client needs and align with business objectives in Iron Mountain’s information governance business. Create architectural designs, blueprints, and documentation that detail the structure and components of the proposed solutions, specifically with regards to taxonomy databases.

  • Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Cross-functional collaboration with development teams, IT staff, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of technology solutions.

  • Requirements Analysis: Work closely with internal teams to gather and analyze business requirements. Translate these requirements into technical specifications and architectural designs that can be implemented into our systems.

  • Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and best practices to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of technology solutions. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.

  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with technology solutions. Develop and implement mitigation strategies to address and resolve issues.

  • Documentation: Create and maintain detailed architectural documentation, including design diagrams, technical specifications, and implementation plans. Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct reviews and audits of technology solutions to ensure they meet quality standards and performance requirements. Implement best practices for testing and validation. Maintain existing processes and procedures to ensure our content is continually up to date.

Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect) is a plus.

  • Experience: Proven experience as a Technology Solutions Architect or in a similar role, with a strong track record of designing and implementing complex technology solutions. Experience with database taxonomies and legal research is a plus.

  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of technology architecture frameworks, software development methodologies, and IT infrastructure. Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and enterprise architecture tools.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to assess complex business problems and develop effective technology solutions.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and facilitate effective collaboration.

  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing technology landscapes and business requirements. Willingness to learn and embrace new technologies and methodologies.

Reasonably expected salary range: $76,900.00 - $102,500.00
