Intel Employee and Labor Relations Specialist (Intern) in Pierre, South Dakota

Job Description

Intel is seeking a motivated part-time student or intern to join our Human Resources team as an Employee and Labor Relations Specialist Intern. This role offers hands-on experience in labor relations management, legislative monitoring, and policy analysis. Ideal for students pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist in administering labor agreements and resolving employee grievances.

  • Participate in meetings with union representatives to maintain positive labor-management relations.

  • Legislative Monitoring:

  • Monitor and research federal, state, and local labor laws.

  • Prepare summaries and reports on legislative developments.

  • Policy and Procedure Assistance:

  • Help develop and update labor relations policies and procedures.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Collect and analyze labor relations data.

  • Assist in preparing reports and presentations for senior management.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship experience. This position is not eligible for Intel’s immigration sponsorship.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in labor relations and human resources

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US

*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need.
