Overview

Element has an opportunity for a Lab Technician to actively support the laboratory’s overall quality functions through maintenance of the calibrations and approved vendors systems, as well as assisting and taking responsibility for general quality-related tasks as designated by the location Quality Assurance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, review, and aid in completion of internally performed laboratory equipment calibrations and solution analysis

• Produce timely and accurate calibration documents, including reports, review sheets, and schedules

• Support day-to-day maintenance of the laboratory’s quality system. Includes, but is not limited to, performing audits, filing and storage of quality-critical documents, controlled document revisions and updates, among other general administrative tasks

• Assist with export trade compliance

• Perform all work using required job safety requirements and proper PPE

Skills / Qualifications

• High school diploma required

• Experience in materials testing or working with Chemicals desired

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, specifications, and procedure manuals

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms
