EJ CAD Operator in Phoenix, New York

EJ has an immediate opening for a CAD Operator (Monday – Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 p.m.), salary - $20.25 to $24.00 per hour depending on experience. Location: Phoenix, NY SUMMARY CAD Operator is responsible for engineering support within the M3 ERP system. This position will support new products with creating structure data within M3. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Promotes the culture, the mission and vision, and the core values of the company. This includes adherence to and promotion of the company safety beliefs, employee engagement, competencies, code of conduct, and other policies and procedures. * Responsible for data integrity within M3 ERP in the support of manufacturing processes * Read and evaluate production drawings for data creation within the M3 system * Responsible for bill of material and labor time entry for all new products. * Maintain current data as needed with updates or engineering changes. * Establishes and manages effective product data quality, audit and review processes in support of manufacturing processes. * Leads specific data quality improvement initiatives and projects in working with the Fabrication and Engineering teams. * Product Structure entry and maintenance within ERP system * Assist the engineering department with New Product Requests * Processing new product requests and drawings using Solidworks * Takes direction and guidance from Engineer Manager, Fabricated Products. * Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a college or technical school; two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent of education and experience.3D modeling CAD/Solidworks experience required. Manufacturing experience desired. Steel and Aluminum fabrication a plus. COMPUTER SKILLS To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Word, Excel and Access) and be email savvy. The applicant should be proficient in Solidworks drafting software.
