Amazon Sr. Program Manager, Pricing in Phoenix, Arizona

Description

Amazon Freight is a fast-growing startup at Amazon and we are looking for passionate owners to shape the direction of the business. Amazon Freight blends advanced technology with a network of 20,000+ Intermodal Containers, building on the world class network and freight services currently used to operate Amazon’s own freight movements.

In this role, you will help guide our business strategy, decisions, and implementation through analytics and data driven insights. You will focus on identifying opportunities to drive growth, efficiency, and improvements to customer experience and will own the end to end implementation of many of these ideas across our sales and operations teams. You will collaborate with leaders and teams from sales, operations, sales ops, finance, pricing, and legal. You will lead the quarterly and annual business and financial planning processes that will directly feed our organizational goals. Familiarity with data access and querying is critical but we are looking for someone to go beyond data access and to drive novel analysis and businesses recommendations and then see the implementation through. This role is a unique opportunity to influence senior leaders and overall business strategy as an analytics minded business manager.

This position requires strong analytical skills, ability to exercise high judgement and draw key insights and actions from data. You should excel breaking down complex, ambiguous problems into actionable processes to drive growth and profitability. You will have an opportunity to be an expert and work across various technical, financial and operational teams throughout Amazon providing insights to help shape our IM network. This role will be involved in all aspects of the IM business and requires a leader with learning agility and desire to work cross functionally with both internal and external organizations.

Key job responsibilities

  • Generate insights through advanced analytics and data mining to improve decision making and sales and operational efficiency

  • Develop pricing strategies to support growth into new business segments and a bi-directional external program

  • Drive weekly/monthly/quarterly performance reviews across organizations, document plan of action, glide path updates and accountability.

  • Comfortable with ambiguities, conflicting priorities and multi-cultural and matrix environment. Work with aggressive timelines.

  • Lead strategic projects to formalize and scale organizational processes

  • Develop a quantified view of market opportunities and help implement and scale ideas

  • Identify opportunities for improvement or automation in existing business strategies or processes and lead the changes using your business acumen and data. Your strategic vision will drive impactful enhancements to our P&L lines.

  • Build data reports and dashboards: Leverage your data skills and technical means (SQL, Excel, etc.) to enable achievement of business efficiency and tangible outcome across critical processes.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

  • 3+ years of supply chain experience

  • Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
