Security Production Engineering (SPE) is a pivotal component of our organizations’ cyber security resilience, acting as a core contributor in enhancing the efficiency, effectiveness, scalability, and resilience of our cyber security infrastructure. We delve into the heart of security platforms, employing our superior cyber expertise to provide unique business value and ensure the company's robust digital defenses.
As a member of the SPE team, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our cyber security infrastructure, both in design and support. This is your chance to support and contribute to delivery of our cyber security strategy and make an impact that goes beyond your immediate environment. This role is an opportunity to exhibit your high standard of technical and interpersonal judgment, engage and influence peers collaboratively, and contribute to our organizational security objectives. You'll address technical security issues, manage cyber security risk, and design the infrastructure to implement and maintain cyber security applications and platforms.
Your unique perspective will contribute to improving our documentation and processes, as well as the design and execution of key deliverables within assigned technologies. As a knowledge manager, you'll grow into a subject matter expert, developing technical operating procedures and ensuring a complete understanding of our product suite. As a senior engineer, you'll strive to exceed expectations and deliver on security technical program initiatives within time and resource constraints.
What you have
Required Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in computer science, cyber security, or equivalent; Or 6-8 years' work experience in the cyber security and infrastructure engineering fields
A minimum of 5 years' experience in cyber security engineering, with a focus on the selection, design, deployment, maintenance, and operations of security tools and servers across various domains such as operations and visibility, data protection, vulnerability management, endpoint data protection, authentication, and authorization
3-5 years of experience with Linux including server hardening, user rights, interpretation of system logs, and automation of tasks
3-5 years of experience with Windows system administration skills, including system logs, registry, LDAP and Active Directory integration
2-5 years of experience scripting/automation in Perl, BASH, Python or other shell scripting languages with a focus on system administration
Familiarity with commercial encryption and tokenization security concepts
Hands-on experience with data protection technologies including tokenization and encryption
2+ years of experience following ITIL Change Management practices and processes
Cyber Security and/or other IT systems certification
Highly effective communication skills (both written and oral)
Preferred Qualifications
Security management certification (CISSP, CISM, CISA, or equivalent)
IT/Security Certifications like (Security+, Network+, SANS certifications, etc.)
Knowledge of compliance and legal requirements including PCI, SOX, GLBA, GDPR
An understanding of cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST CSF, CIS Critical Security Controls, NIST 800-53
Basic experience with utilizing active directory structures and authentication
Hands-on experience with designing and supporting load balancing and high availability / disaster recovery
Experience with creating documents within Atlassian tooling such as Confluence and Jira
Exceptional communication skills for clear, concise interactions across all organization levels
High emotional intelligence to manage and understand both personal and team dynamics
Strong problem-solving and analytical capabilities, crucial for troubleshooting and innovation
Ability to adapt swiftly to changing priorities and maintain performance across multiple projects
An empathetic listener, capable of understanding and translating stakeholder requirements into practical solutions
Resilient, self-starter, able to work with limited supervision, and able to work well with others in a team environment as either a leader or contributor
Experience in a corporate environment with:
Delivering exceptional customer service
Balancing business needs versus security requirements
Strong project management and documentation skills
Superior attention to details, analytical thinker, problem solver
Ability to work well with and communicate effectively with all levels within the organization
Ability to quickly grasp the big picture, yet remain focused on coordinating tasks at the detailed-level
