The Phoenix Job Corps Center provides students with the opportunity to earn their High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED), and hands-on training in the following areas: Certified Nurse Assistant, Clinical Medical Assistant, Medical Administration Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Plumbing, Painting, Security and Protective Services, HVAC, Landscaping, Electrical, and Building Construction Technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership:Spearhead safety initiatives and cultivate a culture of awareness and adherence to safety protocols. Develop, implement, and continually enhance safety procedures to mitigate potential risks.

  • Security Oversight:Manage and oversee campus security operations. Implement and monitor security measures to safeguard the physical well-being of students, staff, and visitors.

  • Emergency Response Planning:Develop and maintain comprehensive emergency response plans. Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure readiness for any potential crisis situations.

  • Collaboration:Work closely with other departments to integrate safety and security measures seamlessly into the overall campus environment. Collaborate with external agencies as needed.

  • Training and Development:Lead training programs for staff and students on safety procedures, emergency response, and security awareness. Foster a sense of responsibility and accountability throughout the campus community.

  • Incident Investigation:Conduct thorough investigations of safety and security incidents. Provide detailed reports and recommendations for improvement to prevent future occurrences.

  • Continuous Improvement:Stay informed about the latest advancements in safety and security technology and practices. Implement improvements and updates to ensure the highest level of protection.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associates of Arts Degree or 1-year related experience working with youth. Must possess a valid in-State Driver’s License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred.

Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and / or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
