As a Senior Engineer in Public Cloud Platform SRE, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our public cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement best practices, automate operations, and drive continuous improvement in our cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Platform Reliability and Scalability:

  • Design, implement, and maintain highly available and scalable public cloud infrastructure solutions.

  • Perform proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and performance tuning to optimize platform reliability.

Incident Management and Resolution:

  • Lead incident response efforts for critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution and thorough root cause analysis (RCA).

  • Develop and refine incident management processes to minimize downtime and impact on services.

Automation and Tooling:

  • Drive automation initiatives for deployment, monitoring, and orchestration using infrastructure as code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Develop and maintain tools for configuration management, deployment, and automated testing.

Performance Optimization:

  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks and inefficiencies in collaboration with development and operations teams.

  • Implement proactive measures to enhance platform performance and resource utilization.

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure public cloud environments adhere to security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, PCI-DSS).

  • Implement and monitor security controls, perform regular audits, and participate in security incident response.

Collaboration and Leadership:

  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and infrastructure teams.

  • Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years in cloud platform engineering or operations, with a focus on multi-cloud environments.

  • Proven track record in managing and optimizing AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and other cloud platforms.

Skills:

  • Deep understanding of cloud architecture principles and best practices.

  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack).

  • Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Bash).

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities in complex distributed systems.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications in Google Cloud.

  • Experience with container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $110,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually bonus benefits
