Responsibilities Job Summary Under the direction of Leadership, the IT Application Trainer is responsible to empower our community through continuous curriculum development, training and deployment support of vendor proprietary enterprise application software. This position is responsible to train the users of software that is necessary to run clinical, financial, or business systems within a large integrated health system. The IT Application Trainer leverages workflow and build knowledge to develop, maintain, and implement training curriculum and training environments for end users. The IT Application Trainer is a high performing individual who collaborates with stakeholders including business operations, IT Application Analysts and other IT personnel to gain and utilize in-depth knowledge of the system functionality and workflow design rationale. In addition, the IT Applications Trainer participates in a support on-call rotation facilitating off hour work functions in support of incidents, upgrades, patches and project task fulfillment. Facilitates end-user training on the proper use of the application for go-lives, new releases / upgrades, optimization requests, project roll outs, new employee orientation, etc. Works closely with IT Training Support Specialist regarding training logistics (courses, classrooms, registrations, timeframes, etc.) in collaboration with other members of the Applications team and customer stakeholders. Employ creative approaches to training content delivery, such as simulations cases, e-learning delivery or other methodologies. Builds and prepares the training environment for training delivery. Maintains training environment as new releases and changes occur. Develops bulletins and end user tip sheets for new functionality and/or updates workflows. Provides at the elbow support for new providers and other end users after initial training. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills. Communicates effectively across all levels of the organization and can determine the appropriate forum for each method (oral and written). Acts as a liaison between work teams and operational departments. Demonstrates the ability to independently prioritize and manage individual workload. Collaborates effectively with team members to adjust priorities based on business needs. Leverages working relationships with the EMR team, IT analysts, IT management, and customer stakeholders (including subject matter experts and/or business owners, Clinical Informatics Analysts, end users, department-based trainers), to collaborate, build, and lead workflows that optimize the application and translate into educationally sound training content. Conduct regularly scheduled meetings with operations to ensure the curriculum is in alignment with appropriate role workflows. Must be willing and able to travel to any/all HonorHealth and affiliated sites. Reviews new application enhancements/upgrades, assisting in the development of implementation plans in collaboration with IT analysts and the customer stakeholders (including subject matter experts and/or business owners, Clinical Informatics Analysts, end users, department-based trainers). Assists IT Training Support Specialist to develop plan for training delivery in conjunction with project timelines. Understands and utilizes the IT Project Management toolset for the successful completion of initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education Associate's Degree or 2 years' work related experience in Information Systems (IS), Healthcare, Business or Two (2) years' related education and experience in eduction, instructional design or related fields Required Experience 2 years training experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems or other software applications training OR 2 years' teaching/instructional design work experience. Knowledge of Healthcare operations Required Licenses and Certifications Certification for assigned application should be obtained within designated timeframe per policy Required
