Description
Robert Half Management Resources is seeking an interim Controller that will be responsible for managing all aspects of our client's accounting operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. This role requires a hands-on approach, strong leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage a small accounting team.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee and manage the complete monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Manage and supervise AP and AR functions, ensuring timely processing and accurate recording of transactions.
• Oversee payroll processing, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations.
• Lead and mentor a team of approximately 5 accounting professionals, providing guidance and support.
• Utilize NetSuite for all accounting functions, including reporting and analysis. Prior NetSuite implementation experience is highly preferred.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Assist with external audits and provide necessary documentation.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required. CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a Controller or similar role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Proven experience managing monthly close processes and preparing financial statements.
• Experience with AP, AR, and payroll management.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• NetSuite expertise is highly preferred, including prior implementation experience.
• Prior experience in the healthcare industry is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
