About the role

CBRE isseekinga highly motivated Project Manager focused on network infrastructure/security construction! This position will apply their experience and technicalexpertiseto lead complex projects withnumerouscross-functional teams. This candidate will plan requirements with internal customers and external partners to guide projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes working with customers to develop project scopes, leading project schedules and cost,identifyingrisks and clearly presenting goals to project collaborators. These project teams can span offices, time zones and hemispheres, andit'syour job to report on and keep all the partners coordinated and advised on the project's progress and schedule! This candidate willbe responsible forresolvinghighly criticalissues within matrix organization whilemaintainingdetailed adherence to project timelines and costs.

What you’ll do

  • Conduct the structured fiber kickoff meeting and monitor the design for OSP and ISP.

  • Facilitate the client "radio" kickoff meeting and work with the vendor to completion.

  • Acting as the primary liaison to network infrastructure/security-related owner

  • Construction progress reviews and construction quality reviews via weekly site walks

  • Facilitate weekly data center hall walks with as needed

  • Perform field safety walks and input Boots OnThe Ground with observations. Ensure EH&S compliance.

  • Collect owner stakeholder needs and expectations, gaining and maintaining collaborators support, mitigating/channeling opposition.

  • Schedules reviews to make sure turning points on checklist are adhered to as well as ensuring structured fiber is complete according to schedule of ancillary systems that require connectivity

  • Facilitate Security kickoff meeting works with GC

  • Attend weekly construction meetings

  • Develop scope and RFP Issuance

  • OFCI procurement - BOM review and RFQ Issuance

  • GEN switches and WAPS

  • Security archives

  • Bundled fiber

  • Purchase of OFE structured fiber

  • Initiate end to end funding requests for projects

  • Manage "Buganizer" - application to update risk/rappy & fluxx

  • Resolving issues and producing post-mortems when SLO commitments are missed.

  • Initiate requests and provide requested information needed for Smart Track Work Package Creation

  • Complete Smart Track enrollment, submit employee compliance documents, and onboarding class.

  • Own furnished material management

  • Update Quickbase (project management tool) requests and ensure it is up to date

  • Perform initial review and approval of invoices before advancing to final review and approval to PO owner

  • Manage the contractor to ensure goals are being met and complete monthly actualization.

  • Lead Change and Risk Management.

  • Budget Management and Cashflow reporting

  • Schedule and achievement reporting

  • Complete project closure actions

  • Supervise site-level productivity and efficiency on a regular basis

What you’ll need

  • 5 years of solid experience with a focus on construction project/program management.

  • Construction project/program management experience. Fiber optic systems and low voltage telecom/security, preferably in the data center environment, is helpful but not required.

  • Previous data center experience is helpful but can be substituted with experience in similar critical environments where work involves impact to core functionalities and is governed with a formal change control process.

  • Experience handling vendor relationships and understanding of standard practices in the design and construction industry, including knowledge of fast track design build processes.

  • Demonstrated skills in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling and achieving objectives on schedule, and within budget.

  • BICSI, RCDD, RTPM, PMP, or similar industry certifications are highly desired.

  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
