CTG Application Consultant Site Reliability/DevOps in Phoenix, Arizona

CTG is seeking to fill an DevOps/Application Consultant Site Reliability position for our client in Phoenix, AZ.

Location: Phoenix, AZ

Duration: 9 months

Duties:

  • Administer and maintain GitHub Enterprise Server (GHES), ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.

  • Develop and optimize GitHub Actions workflows, managing self-hosted runners and improving automation efficiency.

  • Plan and execute GHES upgrades, disaster recovery strategies, and replication processes.

  • Implement and enhance API integrations using GitHub REST/GraphQL APIs, GitHub CLI, and scripting tools.

  • Automate infrastructure and deployments using Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes.

  • Ensure compliance with DevOps security best practices and optimize internal services for performance.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in software development lifecycle processes.

  • Support cloud-based (GitHub Cloud, GCP) and containerized (Docker, Kubernetes) environments for CI/CD pipelines.

Skills:

  • Deep expertise in GitHub Enterprise Server administration, GitHub Actions, and self-hosted runner configurations.

  • Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).

  • Knowledge of DevOps security best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and microservices architecture.

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in complex enterprise environments.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6+ years of experience in GHES administration and DevOps engineering.

  • Proven track record of successful GHES upgrades, disaster recovery implementations, and performance optimizations.

  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as GitHub Cloud and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
